Aspirations of an undergrad senior by Cajoh - August 2025 Scholarship Essay

For the upcoming school year, I aspire to display my newly found discipline that I have gained over the summer. I had a major problem with procrastination and time management last school year. So, over the summer I decided to set goals for myself to build discipline. Which included being constant at the gym and waking up at 5 am every day. My hope is that this will help me already be in a routine and I can apply it to my courses when the semester starts. My motivation to gain this discipline is for me to be a better student and person. Additionally, for the upcoming semester I have enrolled in 17 credits, and I aspire to pass all my classes in the 80-100% range. This motivation comes from wanting to graduate next year so I have some catching up to do in terms of course load. The percentage range comes from me being in the honors college so I must keep an excellent gpa because graduating with honors means a lot to me being a first-generation student. Lastly, I aspire for the film and media club to do more events and gain more members. This motivation comes from me being the vice president of the club and having a passion for film. Since I hope to graduate next year, we’re going to need members to fill the roles of those who are leaving.
