Fresh pencils, blank notebooks pilling up in preparation, bookbag already packed with anticipation. I’m ready for this. With the new school year fast approaching, I decided to take a step back and evaluate what is to come. Homework, lectures, quizzes and exams. I’ve got this. I see my future, like the light at the end of a tunnel, each assignment completed is one step closer to what awaits on the other side. But this year, it’s going to be different. I want to go above and beyond. Studying harder, putting more into my assignments, and even higher grades. I want to do the best that I can do, and nothing will get in my way of achieving this. I am driven, I see the end goal, and I want to reach it. What is waiting at the end? A diploma. But not just a diploma, that is the key to a whole new life. A key to my dream career. I have always worked hard in everything I have done in my life up until this point, but I’m not slowing down, not today, not tomorrow. I will keep pushing myself harder every day, because I know wait awaits at the finish line, and I want nothing more than to reach it.
