The study strategy that has had the greatest impact on my academic success is turning a large problem into a feedback loop: understand one small question, try something, inspect the result, and revise. I began using it while building Promptr, but it has changed how I approach schoolwork as well.

When I face a difficult concept, I first write down what I think I know and identify the exact step I cannot explain. Then I work a small example without looking at the answer. If it fails, I do not restart randomly. I compare my expectation with the result, locate the first point of divergence, and write down the correction in my own words. Finally, I return to the original problem a day later. That last step shows whether I learned the idea or merely recognized a solution.

This method has helped me in computer science and mathematics because it replaces vague frustration with a sequence of questions I can answer. It also makes collaboration more useful: I can ask a teammate about a specific obstacle instead of saying that I do not understand anything. While working on DecepBench and software for FTC Team 13356, I have used the same cycle of testing, debugging, and explaining.

The strategy works because it makes learning active and honest. A wrong answer becomes evidence, not a verdict. By repeatedly closing the loop between prediction, practice, and reflection, I remember more and become more willing to tackle unfamiliar problems.
