Creating a Productive Atmosphere by Anna - December 2025 Scholarship Essay

The environment and people I surround myself with are extremely important. Striving to make work, my home, but most importantly, school, a positive place to be. If I were running for student body president, one hope I would have for my school is to improve and maintain a positive environment, as well as within the students themselves. First, raising money for the school to keep maintenance up to safe standards, because if things aren't being taken care of, then it can distract from vital educational time. Second, advertising for school spirit and pride. In my first years in high school, I thought that being loud and proud about your school was a bit excessive. While I progressed, it became lively and brought unity to my peers and me. Encouraging students to come and support or volunteer at games through announcements or finding creative ways to advertise. Lastly, bringing students together by celebrating even the tiniest of victories. Acknowledging the work students put into school daily. While also acknowledging the adults who work hard to teach us and be support systems for us while managing their own lives. Having special parties or award assemblies that present teachers and students with the recognition they deserve. I have many hopes for school and how I and others feel when we are in school. So all in all, making school an exciting, safe, welcoming place for everyone that is what I would hope for running for student body president.
