To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Amanda Allred, and I'm currently enrolled in FINE Mortuary College to earn a degree in Funeral Services. I graduated high school with a diploma and earned an associate's degree at Potomac state college. This scholarship would provide me with the opportunity to complete my schooling and become a licensed funeral director/mortician.

I have found that my most beneficial study method is writing notes on everything from presentations, glossary terms, professor lectures etc. And then reviewing those notes repetitively until I feel like I have mastered the material. With harder topics, retention can be a struggle, so I'm sure to give myself brain breaks so I can approach the material again with a clear head. One of my favorite learning methods is also being quizzed on the material. I use Quizlet to generate quizzes for me after I plug in the topic's material that I'm studying. I typically do really well on quizzes and exams after i've challenged myself over and over again. I typically feel like i've mastered the material if I earn 3, 100% in a row on Quizlet. They are timed as well, so it encourages me to retain information under pressure.

I have seen improvement in my course scores after utilizing these study tips. I used to be terrible at taking tests, but now I feel a lot more comfortable, secure, and confident in test taking as long as I continue to remain consistent in my studying. It does take a lot of time, but it will all be worth it in the end.
