I'm a student at Brown University, double majoring in Environmental Science and History on the pre-law track. I'm deeply passionate about helping students discover the joy in learning because once you're on the right track, it truly becomes fun and rewarding.
For over 11 years, tutoring has been woven into my personal and academic development. It's taught me how to connect with others, adapt my communication style, and approach problems with empathy and insight. I've worked with learners across a wide range of subjects, from SAT Reading to AP Chemistry, and I specialize in SAT and ACT English, ACT Science, STEM APs, and high school-level math and science. I have the most experience working with middle and high school students, however, I am also practiced in working with younger learners.
More recently, I've helped students craft strong college essays and navigate the admissions process. I was fortunate to be admitted to three Ivy League schools and several other top-20 universities, and I love using that experience to support others on their journey.
English and grammar are my favorite subjects to tutor. I'm an avid reader and a writer with experience in both personal and published work, including journals and newspapers. My teaching philosophy centers on critical thinking, curiosity, and adaptability. I don't just hand students facts to memorize. I design lessons that help them understand, apply, and problem-solve across a variety of scenarios.
Above all, I believe that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. I tailor each lesson to the student's individual strengths and goals, building confidence while targeting areas for growth. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading for pleasure, weightlifting, playing soccer, and board games with friends.
