Hello!

My name is Maribel. I am a graduate student at Northern Illinois University. I have a Master of Arts in English Education with a minor in Business Administration. I am currently enrolled in the Master's in Accounting Science program at NIU. As a tutor and teaching assistant, I have really enjoyed working with primary and secondary school students.

My coursework in the field of literacy, reading, and writing pedagogy has uniquely prepared me to teach primary and secondary level courses. As a native Spanish speaker, I also have extensive knowledge in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and the skills to teach it as a second language to young and adult learners.

My philosophy is to become knowledgeable is varied disciplines so that I can create engaging learning opportunities for students in language arts as well as business and accounting topics.

I am motivated and passionate about being a part of the educational system as a results-driven tutor. I hope to be a positive influence in making higher education accessible to all.
