I grew up in a family of teachers and always knew I wanted to be one. I attended Georgian Court University as an English/Education major for my undergraduate degree, and also obtained as Master's Degree from there in Administration and Supervision. I enjoyed a career of thirty years as a middle school Language Arts teacher, a high school English teacher, and an interim Vice Principal in a k-5 elementary school.
Helping students get better at reading comprehension and writing cohesive paragraphs as well as subject specific essays is my passion. I also enjoy providing assistance for basic math, science, and social studies activities. I will be happy to share all of my study skill advice to make all of your subjects and time management easier.
I use a traditional approach to get to know your individual strengths to help you improve. I take great pride in helping you become a life-long reader and writer, so you can succeed in all subject areas.
Outside of my teaching career, I am committed to staying dedicated to an exercise routine and have been a spinning instructor at several gyms over the years. I am also a former marathon runner. I really like lifting weights and occasionally I practice yoga. Cooking healthy meals also helps me in every area of my life.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and of course my puppy.
