I graduated from Hunter College with a BA in Economics and Statistics. I love talking about math, and I have spent a considerable amount of time voluntarily tutoring during high school and college. As an old adage says, if you're willing to do it for free, you have found your passion. I love being able to share my strengths and passion with students. I have tutored students in Pre-K to college level math. I have found that most students who have struggled in math never built a strong foundation. They have struggled previously in a building block of a topic they are currently trying to master. I make sure my students understand and practice every concept before being bombarded with new information. My goal for my students is to show consistent progress with their scores. I believe learning should be fun. Math tends to give students anxiety on its own. So I have a tendency to joke, sing, and dance while tutoring.
