I'm a recent college graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I majored in Linguistics with concentrations in Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian and graduated with a B.A. in the Arts. I love foreign language studies, translation/interpreting, and teaching about the languages that I know as well.

I am a law student at Quinnipiac University. I received my B.A. in English from Wells College, nearly 15 years before I decided to attend law school. I am a rising senior at Wesleyan University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Latin American Studies. I have extensive experience with Spanish-language coursework and tutoring: I spent a semester one-on-one tutoring a high school student in beginning Spanish, have taken countless university-level Spanish classes, have taken both the Language and Literature AP Spanish tests, and have traveled and lived abroad in Spanish-speaking countries.

I am all too familiar with how difficult organic chemistry is, but I am the rare person who actually loves the subject, and have been exposed to organic chemistry in the classroom and in the laboratory. I am very passionate about science and want to help others enjoy the subjects as much as I do :)

I'm active in my local Lutheran church and served as its financial secretary. I'm currently an elder in my church. I've taught in summer school and in after school programs too. I do love teaching... that's why I can't seem to leave it. These days I'm employed as a paraprofessional at Middletown High School.

I am proud to say my student made it on the school honor roll for the first time. I view tutoring as a form of giving back to my community and as a mutual learning experience for me and my student. My teaching style stresses focusing on separating concepts that my student already knows from those that they are struggling with.
