I am a graduate of Loyola Marymount University with an undergraduate degree in Spanish, and I am currently a visual artist pursuing further studies in digital and web design.

I'm a computer and social scientist. I hold graduate degrees from Columbia University and the University of Chicago and earned my bachelor's at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate level, I research ways the natural sciences can be used to advance the study of anthropology and history. I am currently completing my PhD.

I am able to determine what obstacles are preventing a student from grasping a concept, and create different means of overcoming those obstacles. Creating a partnership with the student and understanding what he or she needs to overcome is what makes me a great tutor.

I am a rising Junior at Princeton University who is passionate about the ways in which people learn, which has led me to pursue a degree in Neuropsychology. Through great experiences teaching English in Chiangmai, Thailand for two months and tutoring Calculus I and II through Princeton University's McGraw Tutoring program for two years, I have come across many learning styles and have developed a love for teaching. My strengths include standardized testing, Spanish, Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus) and ACT/SAT/CLEP prep. I have experience working with students who are in grades K-College.

I am a graduate of Rice University with a degree in Mathematical Economic Analysis. Throughout college, I worked extensively with middle and early high school students, tutoring and teaching Math and Algebra. I also worked for three years with students, age 3-12, in a non-profit setting, as an employee and volunteer, helping them to learn about and explore a variety of Science and Social Science topics. Though I enjoy working with all subjects, teaching Math is my passion. I know that everyone has the potential to understand Math. My goal is to make sure that every student that I work with realizes their own potential, becomes a more confident mathematician, and is ultimately able to reach whatever level of success they aspire to. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with Latin and University Honors. I am currently a graduate student pursuing my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at UT Dallas again. I am a graduate of Georgetown University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics with a concentration on Foreign Policy. I also earned a Certificate in Latin American Studies and am a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, The National Political Science Honor Society. I have experience tutoring students in both the SAT and the SSAT. Additionally, my time as an 8th Grade Science teacher here in Dallas has prepared me for the curriculum and challenges facing students in the area. While I offer tutoring in a broad range of subjects from foreign languages to grammar and writing to math and science, I find Physics to be the most enjoyable subject to teach. I see Physics as the science that allows all the other sciences to occur, and I find it helpful to use Physics demonstrations when studying the subject. When it comes to tutoring, I believe that whoever is doing the talking is doing the learning, so my students will be doing the leg work when it comes to their learning. I believe that every student can achieve success in school; each student just learns at their own pace and in their own way. When I have free time, I enjoy reading a good book, playing a game of tennis, or participating in or watching theatrical events.

I am currently a student at Baylor University in the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society for exceptional performance. My whole life I have loved helping people learn and am dedicating my life to assisting others in their pursuit of knowledge. This is why I am majoring in All-Level Special Education and will be certified to teach all-level special education, elementary education, and ESL. I am a rising senior at The University of North Texas in Denton. I am working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish as well as English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I was raised in an academically competitive environment in Fort Bend County and my rigorous secondary education prepared me for success in college. I am a fortunate member of the Terry Scholarship Foundation, which has provided me and hundreds of other Texans with a private, four-year, full-ride scholarship. I'm a sophomore undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin studying Biology! I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I majored in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology as my field of choice. I have always had a great love for history and am currently trying to turn that passion into a career. While studying at UT Austin, I had the opportunity to tutor and work with children as part of a summer program at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. I am a second year medical student in the new MD program at Nova Southeastern University. I began tutoring students on a volunteer basis when I was in high school and was employed by a tutoring agency while in college. I have experience working with students in Math, Sciences (Biology & Chemistry), and Spanish and have experience tutoring students in Elementary, Middle, and High School as well as college. I am a 19-year-old Sophomore at the University of Texas at Dallas. I’m currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Literary Studies, minoring in Psychology, and am working towards teaching certification. Afterwards, I intend to work towards my Masters Degree in Humanities with a focus on Studies in Literature. I have been a part of the Future Teacher Internship program at my high school, worked as a teaching intern/assistant, and am currently employed as an AVID tutor. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade, though my specialty lies with older kids. With a GPA of 4.5, I was ranked number 10 in my high school graduating class of over 650 students, and my current GPA at UTD is 3.97.

I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Plan II Honors along with a minor in Biology. During my years as an undergrad, I served as a peer adviser to help incoming freshmen prepare for college-level classes; an editor for both my university's literary journal and research journal; and a Mandarin Chinese teacher for beginning learners. After graduation, I began tutoring ESL students from China and eventually succeeded in raising their English scores by a full letter grade at the end of the semester. With more than 5 years of mentoring, tutoring, and teaching experience, I strongly believe that all subjects can be made fascinating. Gaining knowledge should be an exciting process, not a dreaded routine. Because of this, I try my best to find creative and fun methods of teaching for all my subjects, particularly for my specialtiesreading, writing, and test preparation. I am a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. I received my Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 2003. Since graduation, I have worked in the areas of Transportation, Environmental, and Structural Engineering. I have also tutored part time since 2006 upon moving back to Dallas, TX. I am pursuing a career as an actor, but am thrilled to continue to flex my intellectual side and share my passion for learning with the next generation. In college, I studied Cognitive Science, not so much as a fallback career, but because I am fascinated by the subject. I succeeded in getting into Northwestern without the aid of any academic tutors or test prep classes. I'm a big Boston Celtics fan and I speak three languages. I can get you the test results you need to succeed because I went through the exams myself and performed well. The first time I took the SAT I actually wasn't satisfied with my score, so I spent 2 months working hard to get my score to where I wanted it to be. The second time I took the exam I saw a 200-point increase. Previously, I have had experience teaching the SSAT and the SAT. The student I tutored in SSAT successfully passed the exam is now attending a private high school abroad. I am a graduate of Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American History. I recently received my Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and began my career as an attorney. I am passionate about continuing my work in education through tutoring. I enjoy tutoring many subjects, particularly History, SAT Reading and Writing, College Essays, and Spanish. Katherine breaks each section into repeatable strategies — like eliminating trap answers on synonym questions and setting up equations for word problems — so test day feels familiar rather than overwhelming. Her background in both math and writing analysis means she can coach across every section without switching tutors.

I have helped many students achieve excellent grades in math by focusing on what really matters: building confidence and a clear understanding of concepts. My teaching style is simple I make sure students fully understand the basics, then guide them step by step to solve problems on their own. I encourage lots of practice and always take time to clear doubts, so that no student feels left behind. Math doesn't have to be scary with the right approach, it becomes logical and even enjoyable! My aim is to make every student feel confident, independent, and capable of solving problems successfully.

I am about to graduate from Brown University with a B.A. in Education Studies. I love working with students one-on-one and helping them feel like they can tackle challenging material. In the past I have tutored elementary school students in English and Math, middle school students in English as a second language, and helped peers in an informal context. My experiences teaching visual art and dance classes have also helped me develop creative and engaging ways to present information. While I tutor many different subjects, I am particularly excited about working with students on writing and French. I have studied French for 11 years and lived abroad in a Francophone country, and I am a total geek when it comes to French grammar. Similarly, I love playing with and examining the English language, whether in preparation for the reading section of a Standardized Test or for a college essay. I believe that students learn best when they are able to uncover the "why," not just the "what," and it is my goal to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I am a new graduate of Pomona College, in Claremont, CA, where I studied Religion and Philosophy. While there, I wrote many papers of a wide variety, working on strong arguments, organization, and phrasing. I peer edited as well as volunteering with groups that mentored high school students, focusing on college admissions work, continuing and expanding my experiences from high school of tutoring for standardized testing. Additionally, I taught beginning violin to younger children.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Master of Science in Animal Nutrition. I received my Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from Cornell University. While I tutor various subjects, I am most passionate about tutoring math and feel that our school systems often fail students when it comes to math. I do not believe that some people simply "can't do math." I believe that some may need extra time and help, but everyone can do math. With patience and hard work, any student can learn. I also enjoy tutoring Spanish, which I have studied since I was in elementary. During undergrad, I even studied abroad in Barcelona and lived with a host family. I am a graduate of Cornell University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Director at a preparatory school managing and teaching students simultaneously. In the recent years at the school, I have been focusing more on the Reading portions of standardized tests but have at times assisted students in the math and science portions as well usually one-on-one. I strongly believe that every students has their own style of learning and must learn at their own pace. Although, sometimes giving them too much leeway may not always be the best solution, I am there to also provide encouragement and challenge to make the learning process enjoyable and beneficial. Apart from work, I do enjoy reading, jogging, exploring New York City, and playing the violin during my spare time.

I'm passionate about guiding high schoolers through the college application process. The admissions process is probably one of the most confusing, anxiety-inducing experiences you'll have in high school, but I'm full of ideas for making the entire process as successful and stress-free as possible. I've successfully guided many students through every stage of admissions -- from figuring out where to apply and then staying organized and on-track, to "packaging" themselves and producing a perfect personal statement -- and I love witnessing them achieve their admissions dreams.
