I am a graduate of Loyola Marymount University with an undergraduate degree in Spanish, and I am currently a visual artist pursuing further studies in digital and web design.

I'm a computer and social scientist. I hold graduate degrees from Columbia University and the University of Chicago and earned my bachelor's at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate level, I research ways the natural sciences can be used to advance the study of anthropology and history. I am currently completing my PhD.

I am able to determine what obstacles are preventing a student from grasping a concept, and create different means of overcoming those obstacles. Creating a partnership with the student and understanding what he or she needs to overcome is what makes me a great tutor.

I am a rising Junior at Princeton University who is passionate about the ways in which people learn, which has led me to pursue a degree in Neuropsychology. Through great experiences teaching English in Chiangmai, Thailand for two months and tutoring Calculus I and II through Princeton University's McGraw Tutoring program for two years, I have come across many learning styles and have developed a love for teaching. My strengths include standardized testing, Spanish, Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus) and ACT/SAT/CLEP prep. I am a graduate of Rice University with a degree in Mathematical Economic Analysis. Throughout college, I worked extensively with middle and early high school students, tutoring and teaching Math and Algebra. I also worked for three years with students, age 3-12, in a non-profit setting, as an employee and volunteer, helping them to learn about and explore a variety of Science and Social Science topics. I am currently a graduate student pursuing my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at UT Dallas again. I am a graduate of Georgetown University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics with a concentration on Foreign Policy. I also earned a Certificate in Latin American Studies and am a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, The National Political Science Honor Society. I have experience tutoring students in both the SAT and the SSAT. Additionally, my time as an 8th Grade Science teacher here in Dallas has prepared me for the curriculum and challenges facing students in the area. While I offer tutoring in a broad range of subjects from foreign languages to grammar and writing to math and science, I find Physics to be the most enjoyable subject to teach. I see Physics as the science that allows all the other sciences to occur, and I find it helpful to use Physics demonstrations when studying the subject. When it comes to tutoring, I believe that whoever is doing the talking is doing the learning, so my students will be doing the leg work when it comes to their learning. I believe that every student can achieve success in school; each student just learns at their own pace and in their own way. I am a rising senior at The University of North Texas in Denton. I am working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish as well as English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I was raised in an academically competitive environment in Fort Bend County and my rigorous secondary education prepared me for success in college. I am a fortunate member of the Terry Scholarship Foundation, which has provided me and hundreds of other Texans with a private, four-year, full-ride scholarship. As a Terry Scholar, I am well-versed in all subjects and have taken on the role of mentor to many of the incoming freshmen. I have spent most of my free time in college as a nanny and tutor to families around the DFW area. I have experience with all age groups and there is nothing that intimidates me! While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, History, Spanish, and Government/Social Studies. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I majored in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology as my field of choice. I have always had a great love for history and am currently trying to turn that passion into a career. While studying at UT Austin, I had the opportunity to tutor and work with children as part of a summer program at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. I am a second year medical student in the new MD program at Nova Southeastern University. I am a 19-year-old Sophomore at the University of Texas at Dallas. Afterwards, I intend to work towards my Masters Degree in Humanities with a focus on Studies in Literature. I have been a part of the Future Teacher Internship program at my high school, worked as a teaching intern/assistant, and am currently employed as an AVID tutor. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade, though my specialty lies with older kids. With a GPA of 4.5, I was ranked number 10 in my high school graduating class of over 650 students, and my current GPA at UTD is 3.97.

When on breaks from school, I take care of children ages 5-11 and teach them reading, writing, and mathematics. Though I enjoy teaching a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about English. I have the most fun teaching students reading, writing, and grammar for test preparation and general school help. I believe that the ability to read and write proficiently is a foundation for a well-rounded individual and allows the student to have the best chances in any academic or employment field they may pursue. To be able to express oneself eloquently and concisely is essential for academic and personal success. This does not come without skill in logical mathematic thinking, however. I firmly believe that anyone can succeed no matter where they are in the educative process as long as they have the tools and strategies for efficient learning.
