As a graduate of The University of The West Indies, and Rutgers University, my career has given me the opportunity to interact with students from varying academic levels, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds. Too often I have found that students are frustrated because they were taught the rules and vocabulary but yet they are not 'fluent' in the language. By incorporating various activities and techniques that target the different modes of communication. I am a music enthusiast so very often I use songs as a spring board or follow-up to my classes. Outside of class I enjoy yoga.
