About Me

I have been a tutor for over 10 years, and a classroom teacher for 3 years now. I received my Master's Degree in Education K-12 as well as Special Education K-12 from Florida State University. In addition to this I also have endorsements in Reading, ESOL, and Autism. I am going to go back to school to obtain my Specialist's Degree in Educational Leadership as well. Teaching is my passion and I am passionate about helping students because I want to be able to help as many students as I can reach their highest potential academically. I am able to tutor all core subjects (Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading), Writing, Test Prep for SAT/ACT, Special Education, and Study Skills/Organization. My favorite subject to tutor is Math, because I enjoy working with numbers and helping students understand how to solve math problems. My teaching philosophy is that I treat all children individually when it comes to their education. All students have different needs when it comes to the classroom, and therefore each child should have their instruction individualized to meet their specific needs. Each child has different methods or learning that they would prefer, and it is my job to cater to that and provide the best instruction for each student on an individualized basis. Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the gym, traveling, going to the beach, and playing sports!
