About Me

I love tutoring and working with children in general to see those ahh-haa moments. To share my knowledge and watch a student smile while they work with me. My philosophy is you can reach and teach all learners. I have 25 years experience in the classroom and 6 years tutoring off line and online. I have 2 Masters one in Education and one in Couseling (children only) I also have a post Masters Certificate in Applied behavior Analysis. I love teaching reading because I feel reading opens the whole world to a child. It is one of my favorite hobbies and I like to get students loving it not struggling with it. I am a certified Wilson and Visualize and Verbalize trainer and trained in Fountas and Pinnell, and Just Words. So I am fully qualified to teach reading to students through all the elementary years and above. I also am trained in teaching Math and love how sequential and logical it is since that is me all the way. I am also trained in Lucy Calkins writing and other writing programs. This makes me your go to for elementary education.
