About Me

As an art educator, I care deeply about the value of education in the arts. Art is a tool for all different learners. Art allows individuals to create means of work through our own ideas or thoughts. Art can also be interpreted in many ways to become a shared meaning between our peers. We can utilize our shared meanings of art to understand one another. As an art educator it is not only important for my students to endeavor their minds to create meaningful work but also understand the power of creativity in the arts and why the arts are necessary in all school curriculum. Today's student's education sometimes can be over constricted, which often focuses on knowing only one right answer, therefore students need guidance in reclaiming their capacities for conceptual, imaginative play in the art room. I strive to foster pride, and enthusiasm in learning
