About Me

I retired from full-time teaching at Santa Clara Catholic Academy in Dallas, Texas, in June this year. I have a total of 25 years of mathematics teaching experience here and abroad and have taught graduate, undergraduate, high-school, and middle-school Math. I can work with a wide variety of students at all levels of proficiency. I graduated with a degree in BS Mathematics for Teachers (Magna Cum Laude) in 1979. I completed my MS Mathematics at the University of the Philippines Diliman in 1984 and did one year of studies in PhD in Mathematics Education at Michigan State University in 1999. A firm believer in Continuing Professional Education, I have continually kept myself abreast with new teaching methods and strategies in Mathematics and Science education. I am passionate about Math and teaching. I believe that making students see the connection between the mathematics that they have learned, and its real-world applications will make them eager Math learners.
