I am a native Chinese who has spent half of my life growing up in China, and other half living and studying in the US where I received a Bachelors degree from St. John's University. After moving to the US, I went through a tough time learning English as my second language, so I understand how frustrating learning a new language can be. As of today, I speak fluent English without any accent. I am very patient and have experience working with all age groups. I broke the course into a few different curriculum including Survival Chinese, Daily Chinese, Business Chinese and Children's Chinese. I don't believe in one size fits all, therefore, I focus on helping my student reaching their individual goals by designing the course to best suit each one of them. I spend a lot of time on designing the classes to be fun and practical in order to help my students stay interested and master toning and pronunciation. In addition to tutoring, I also act as a Mandarin Chinese consultant to both New Canaan Country School and a Chinese learning mobile app. I started teaching Mandarin because I see how many people wanted to learn both Mandarin and China's culture. I believe that by learning to speak Mandarin, it is not merely conservations you'll be holding, but true communications.
