About Me

I began my college education at Portland Community College where I studied Mathematics, Physics and engineering prerequisite classes such as Statics and Dynamics. While at PCC I would volunteer in the study hall by helping fellow students with their math homework. From PCC I transferred to Portland State University. I am currently working on my bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering degree. I currently tutor Algebra 1 through 4, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1 and Physics. My favorite subject to tutor is Calculus 1 because that is where I find mathematics to become very interesting. I believe that each student has their own unique approach to learning new subjects. It is the obligation of the tutor to shape their method of teaching around the student's unique set of strengths and weaknesses. By discovering where a student has a gap of understanding in a subject and helping the student to bridge that gap, a foundation can be created in order to progress to the next level of a subject. Outside of school I like to Play and record music at home, read books and work in the garden.
