I strive to make sure my students not only get the grade, but truly understand the material. Having my students teach me the topic afterwards shows me that they are ready to move on. Math is everywhere in the world and I like to incorporate it into my lessons. I believe my experience, my love for math, and my genuine want to help is what makes me a great tutor. I strive to make sure the student truly understands the material, not accepting "kind of" as "yes, I understand". I tend to ask what the students what their hobbies are so that I may relate the problem to their own lives. I found that this technique is a real winner.
