I have been an educator for over 15 years and possess a Master’s degree in Multicultural Education, a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Psychology. My role as a Teacher, providing education to grades 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th, has provided me with invaluable experience in assessing the needs and interests of a diverse population. I have designed and implemented enthusiastic lesson plans and activities that appeal to the various learning styles of my students, often with the use of technology and a student-centered approach. I am familiar with Common Core Standards and Assessments, the English Language Arts Exam, and the apprehension that children may feel when facing these tests. Although reading and writing is my specialty, I have a knack at simplifying the most complicated terms that may arise in a variety of subjects. I have tutored both children and adults which has been (and continues to be) a wonderfully challenging experience.
