About Me
Throughout college, I tutored students in a broad range of science courses, and served as a teaching assistant for my favorite 400-level physiology class. I am most passionate about Physiology and Anatomy, because of their direct impact on human life, and their important role in the foundation of medicine. Apart from working throughout my college career, I was involved in the pre-medical honor society as an executive board member, and was extremely involved in THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. I recently moved to New York City, where I interact with and assist patients and physicians daily at an urgent care center. I am currently seeking admission to medical school, and take every opportunity to continue my own learning, while assisting others in theirs. I believe in guiding students through new concepts by breaking them down into smaller parts, including what they already know, then building upon that. The application of what we already know helps us gain a deeper understanding of the new concepts, reinforces the old ones, and fosters the confidence we need to thrive in academia. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, horseback riding, running, yoga and reading. I also enjoy experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, catching up with friends over a good cup of coffee, and cheering on Penn State.
