I am growing two different styles of blueberries and two different colors of peonies. I bought the peonies for the the deer to eat. They'd rather eat our neighbor red-scented roses. Oops. I tried. Actually, having the peonies in-between the blueberries keeps the bees busy and I get more blueberries to eat. Yum!

I am most passionate about math and college applications. I particularly enjoy tutoring students for the SAT and ACT or writing college application essays because I remember how difficult it was during that time but learned to have fun with the process and would love to help students through this time. I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Waynesburg University. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education nK-6 with a minor in Children's Literature. I earned a Special Education certificate from Waynesburg University. I am also certified to teach Middle School Science, Social Studies and English.

I am a retired teacher, linguist - I speak 3 languages (English, Portuguese, and Spanish), wife, and mom of 5 amazing children. I was born and raised in the USA, spending most of my life in sunny south Florida, our family decided to move to Louisiana last year and we love it here.
