I am proud to say my student made it on the school honor roll for the first time. I view tutoring as a form of giving back to my community and as a mutual learning experience for me and my student. I am very patient, a good communicator and can usually identify why an individual is struggling and help them overcome those obstacles with simple techniques. I have worked with a very wide range of students, ranging from my own son starting in Kindergarten and have taught individuals as old as 82 years old.

I'm from China, and currently working in a hedge fund in Norwalk, CT. I enjoy tutoring in Math and Chinese. I have been teaching in APEX as a SAT math tutor. My teaching style is giving students more chance to talk and ask questions. I'd like to listen to them and help them out as much as I can. I'm Craig Lanzoni, a former corporate finance guy who was introduced to teaching when a colleague asked me to present a lecture on International Finance to his business class at The Westchester Business Institute (now The College of Westchester).

I am a graduate of Princeton University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in economics. My work experience includes 5+ years as an investment analyst at a private wealth management firm and 18 months at a digital media start-up. I first began tutoring in high school and have successfully helped many middle school and high school students improve their grades and/or prepare for standardized tests.

I am the first person in my family to be born in the United States. My entire family are immigrants and it was only recently that my last remaining family members came over from China. This meant that growing up I was the eldest of all the children in my family. Being an only child myself, I had a lot of responsibility to take care and help raise my cousins who are all younger. My interest and experience in tutoring comes from helping my cousins through school.

I am passionate about educating all students from a variety of backgrounds and levels to their fullest potential.

I am an undergraduate business student at Babson College. For years, I have tutored a variety of subjects from writing to accounting. In high school, I participated in volunteer tutoring through the National Honors Society. Even other involvements, such as coaching the debate team, taught me how to convey information and reach understanding with others. As a college student, I am paid to tutor Accounting and teach entrepreneurship and often find myself running study groups among peers.

I'm a big believer in the Socratic Method and allowing the student to realize the answer through curiosity.
