I received an Undergrad at University of Minnesota Morris, and an MBA from Dominican University of California. I have a BAs in Spanish, Business, & Latin American Studies. I also have an MBA with an emphasis on Sustainability. I have tutored students in Spanish Language, Managerial Accounting, and Cost Accounting. I am an incoming Epidemiology and Global Health Master of Public Health student at the University of Minnesota. I received my undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Grinnell College in 2020 and also have extensive coursework in philosophy, biology, chemistry, and physics. I worked as a calculus tutor in Grinnell's math lab and tutored a professor's 8th grader in recreational math, competition problems, and ACT math test prep. I'm an alumni of the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) and enjoy juggling, sudoku, and creating origami tessellations.

I'm a senior at Washington University in St. Louis, where I major in both Psychology and Global Health and the Environment. I have five younger siblings (ranging in age from seven to fifteen), so I grew up patiently teaching new concepts and helping with homework. This translated into a passion for working with younger people, which I have developed by working in multiple countries as a tutor, teacher, and ABA implementer. I have experience across all age levels, and with a variety of needs and abilities.Outside of academics, I can usually be found engaging with the arts in one way or another. I went to a fine arts elementary and middle school, and a performing arts conservatory in lieu of a traditional high school. As such, I have ample love and respect for music, dance, and theatre.

I'm dedicated to critical thought and careful, clear writing. In my independent written work, I focus on issues of political economy, critical theory, and the social and political impacts of technology. I recently also have begun to work on a science fiction novel. In tutoring, I hope to encourage students to approach writing and language with ease and technical competence. I have extensive experience in many academic areas, and can help develop skills for large research projects, short essays, standardized test taking, and everything in between. Nothing is too complex to be broken down clearly and mastered!

I have been retired from professional psychology for three years. I have enjoyed spending time as an information volunteer at the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, and I help with the care of my young grandson. In my free time I love reading, music, and learning Spanish.All of my life I have enjoyed learning new skills and solving problems. When something has to be done, I want to solve the challenge of finding the easiest and simplest way to achieve that goal. I want to meet people where they are and together discover where they would like to be. I want to agree on the best goals, and the best way to achieve those goals.I enjoy working with children and adults one on one or in small groups. My first step would be to get to know you. I earned a master's of teaching at Dominican University in Illinois and graduated with a B.A in Geography and Urban Studies from Macalester College. I currently am taking a break as a classroom teacher and am working on a political campaign in Minneapolis. In my free time, I love watching and playing sports, playing the saxophone, reading, and writing.

I am a writer, editor, producer, curator and lover of words. I spent many years holding editorial positions on both coasts (California and New York), but was happy to lay some roots and start a family back home in Minneapolis, a city alive with art, activism and stories waiting to be told. I am excited to help students craft their own words as well as assist with many other subjects, including English, writing, politics and social sciences.

I am a current sophomore in my undergraduate career at the University of Minnesota and I have been tutoring students for 5 years. I am passionate about working with others and making them excited to learn and seeing them grow! I tutor in a variety of math, english, ACT prep, russian, and spanish courses, and I would love to work with you! I have been speaking russian and spanish since I was 5, and I was in a secondary math and reading program from a young age as well, which allowed me to succeed academically. My teaching style emphasizes compassion and patience, because I have been a student in a tutoring center myself, and I know how stressful it can get at times!
