In our final session, the student and I practiced some AP free-response questions covering topics from all throughout his Statistics course. He needed only a few reminders on concepts he had forgotten. We also looked back over the binomial distribution again to address his recurring problem with remembering that process, and I provided a summary list of each probability distribution's calculator commands for the student to review before his test.

This session was after the first day of the student's AP Stats final, so we looked at concepts that he wanted to brush up on before the last two days of the final. We did some problems on describing scatterplots, chi-square analysis, binomial/geometric probabilities, and calculating conditional probabilities.

Today, the student and I tackled the remainder of the regression theory chapter in her textbook, then worked through some z-scoring regression examples to prepare her for the work ahead in Chapter 9's introduction to probability theory. She has her second test on Friday and aims to have Chapter 9 behind her by then.

Statistics Tutoring review by Michael in Denver, CO
We covered normal approximation, Central Limit Theorem, chance error, sample theory. She was more comfortable with the theory discussed than previous theory and was better able to make connections between homework problems and examples in the text. I think she is more confident about the subject as a whole so she is better able to apply the study methods she obviously knows.
