Appreciation and Dedication by Violet - August 2025 Scholarship Essay

Looking ahead to the upcoming school year, I aspire to enjoy my senior year and have fun while still studying hard for my APs and completing my college applications promptly.
My main goal of enjoying this senior year is motivated by the fact that this community that I’ve had for the past 3 years won’t be the same once this year ends, and we are thrown into adulthood. I wish to cherish the year with my friends, my team, and my family before college and adult life start.
I’m motivated to study hard for my AP classes because these classes interest me and will create a strong foundation for my future studies in college. To be real, the AP exams aren’t cheap either, so if I’m paying for the tests, I at least want to do good on them to possibly get the college credit associated with that exam.
Lastly, I’m motivated to complete my college applications promptly because all my friends who are upcoming college freshmen have warned me about how stressful it is during application season, and I want to put off some of this stress so I can focus on enjoying my year. Additionally, the same friends who are now in college continue to check in with me to ensure I’m on track and don’t burn out, which motivates me because of the effort they put into preparing me, as they genuinely care.
