One of the academic subjects that posed the biggest challenge for me is biology. Initially, I found it difficult to understand complex concepts like genetics, evolution, and cell processes since not only memorization was needed, but analysis and synthesis as well. Comprehension of the interrelatedness of various biological systems was confusing, and I needed additional time to study the material and ask relevant questions to clarify the issues.

I stopped being frustrated and started studying differently. Instead of memorizing the facts, I analyzed larger topics in smaller parts, went through my notes, did exercises, and conducted various experiments in class. It made me perceive scientific concepts from a different angle.

Gradually, biology became one of those subjects that have helped me to develop critical thinking skills most of all. I learned how to analyze information, find regularities, draw logical conclusions, and base them on evidence rather than assumptions. This made me realize that sometimes growth requires being out of your comfort zone. Even though the subject was tough initially, it opened my eyes to the importance of perseverance, discipline, and critical thinking. The skills acquired through the process will help me in my studies to earn a Business Administration degree and become an entrepreneur in the future, which would require me to make rational decisions.
