How Cybersecurity Sparked My Curiosity

One subject that has sparked my curiosity is cybersecurity, which I am currently studying through a class at Tidewater Community College (TCC). Taking this class has helped me explore my interest in technology and understand the importance of protecting information in today’s digital world. As people depend more on computers, phones, and the internet, keeping personal information safe has become increasingly important.
My interest in cybersecurity has made me curious about how hackers gain access to private information and how cybersecurity professionals work to prevent it. I want to understand how computer systems are protected, how online threats are identified, and how technology can be used to solve complex problems. Through my class at TCC, I have the opportunity to begin exploring this field and building a foundation for my future education.
This experience has strengthened my goal of majoring in cybersecurity in college. I know that this career will require dedication, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to keep learning as technology changes. I want to use these skills to help protect individuals, businesses, and organizations from cyber threats.
Taking a cybersecurity class while preparing for college has shown me that education can open doors to opportunities beyond the classroom.
