The Future of Education: Building a More Inclusive and Supportive System by Samantha - September 2025 Scholarship Essay
The educational system will develop into a complete student development framework which will support academic success and personal development throughout the upcoming ten years. The current educational system provides fundamental learning opportunities but requires further improvement to achieve full student visibility and support for upcoming difficulties.
Education needs to establish mental health support as a fundamental development priority. The help I got for my mental health has shown me that mental health matters for reaching success. I received the support I needed to progress in 2021 after facing mental health challenges during that year. The experience showed me that students need to overcome their emotional barriers before they can succeed academically. The school system requires more counselors to provide mental health education while creating student-friendly areas for help-seeking. Every school should make mental health education an essential part of their curriculum during the following ten years at the same level as math and science.
I hope educational institutions will start using teaching approaches which welcome students with different learning requirements. Students learn through individual methods because they possess unique learning patterns that differ from one another. Students learn differently because they achieve better results through traditional teaching methods but others need practical learning experiences and technological tools and creative activities to succeed. The two courses Horror and Literature of the Unknown and Video Production provided me with new perspectives which surpassed what I experienced in regular classroom learning. The educational system should expand its course offerings to include diverse classes which will help students explore their interests while developing practical abilities and career readiness for various professional routes during the next decade.
The education system needs to place greater importance on teaching students both empathy and essential life competencies. Students should receive education that teaches them academic subjects and enables them to communicate effectively and handle stress and work with people from various cultural backgrounds. Young people need these skills to succeed in their future careers and adult life regardless of their chosen path between law, medicine, business or the arts.
The future education system will focus on student welfare through various learning approaches to develop students who excel in both academic and personal development. The implemented changes will help students achieve career readiness through acquiring skills that result in life satisfaction.
