How Technology in the Classroom Has Positively Effected Me by Maya - November 2025 Scholarship Essay

The technology resources I have been exposed to throughout my classroom experiences have had a significant impact on my education. From elementary school to high school, I have been fortunate to have access to a variety of tools, including iPads, Chromebooks, projectors, and smartboards. These resources have made learning more engaging, accessible, and efficient.

In middle school and high school, I was provided with my own Chromebook by the school. This allowed me to complete assignments, readings, and projects digitally, both in class and at home. Having this technology helped me stay organized and made it easier to keep up with lessons and deadlines. It also allowed teachers to share materials and feedback instantly through Google Classroom, creating a more connected and flexible learning environment.

Another piece of technology that improved my classroom experience was the smartboard in each classroom. Smartboards made learning more interactive by allowing teachers to display lessons, videos, and online resources for the entire class to see. We could also write and draw directly on the screen, which made lessons more visual and hands-on compared to traditional projectors.

Altogether, these technology tools have greatly enhanced my educational experience. They have not only helped me learn more effectively but also taught me valuable digital skills that I will carry with me throughout my life and future education.
