My Goals of Freshman Year of College by Kennedy - August 2025 Scholarship Essay

A lot of people go into their freshman year of college excited about meeting new people, being in a new environment, oh and lets definitely not forget about partying. Personally that not what's happening in my case. My biggest goal of this school year is to find if I , me , Kennedy want this for me. As in "this" I mean school. I've always been good at school. Never really had to study and pretty much grasped the simple concepts we have learned through out are 12 years of schooling. But this, this is a test to see if I want this as bad as I want a successful life. I have no one to push me everyday and watch over me and tell me what to do. My job is to figure out if my major is what I want what I can spend the rest of my life doing it with a real smile on my face. Now I know its okay to change your major its actually pretty normal , but honestly that not what I want for myself. I have been preparing myself for this major for the past two in a half years. Its what I think I want. This year I hope to know that this is what I want. I understand that freshman year comes with a lot ups and downs but I think that going into anything in life you need to keep a level head and to mental push you. Certain people in my life are very success with what they do. Yes, I know they struggled and had a hard time but they keep a smile on their faces and they love what they do and can provide for who they need. They push me to stay on track and to keep pushing. I do this for them even if they don't realize. If I see a teammate giving 100% my parents also taught me to give 120.
