One time I had to learn from feedback was during a group project where I was responsible for putting together part of our presentation. I felt confident about my work because I had spent a lot of time making sure the information was accurate and organized. However, when I showed my section to my group members, they pointed out that it was too focused on information and did not do enough to explain the main idea clearly. At first, I was disappointed because I thought I had done a good job, but I realized that I was focusing more on completing the assignment than making sure the audience could understand it.

Instead of ignoring their feedback, I asked them what specifically I could improve. They suggested that I simplify some of my explanations, remove unnecessary information, and use examples to make my points easier to understand. I went back through my section and made those changes. I also practiced explaining the material out loud instead of only reading what I had written. This helped me notice which parts were confusing and which ideas needed more explanation.

After making the changes, I presented my section to the group again. They said that it was much clearer and easier to follow. This experience taught me that feedback is not necessarily criticism. Sometimes, other people can notice weaknesses in your work that you cannot see yourself. I learned to be more open to constructive feedback and to use it as a way to improve rather than taking it personally. Since then, I have tried to listen carefully when someone gives me advice because I understand that learning from feedback can help me become better at what I do.
