Aspirations of a Certified Dreamer by Destiny - August 2025 Scholarship Essay

When asked what aspirations I have for the upcoming school year my answer is layered. I have several aspirations for the new school year. First, is to become more involved in my major and gain a leadership position within it. Second, is to be on the chancellor's list for the next two semesters. Lastly would be to gain and maintain a 4.0 gpa.

What motivates me to achieve these aspirations is the promise of a greater and successful future for me and my family. My main motivation is my mother, and wanting to have the ability to give her what she desires in life. My mom was a single parent who gave her all to my siblings and I. I want to give to her as she has done for me my entire life.

Another major motivation would be to have a stable life where if I want to do or have something I can without the worry of not having enough finances. If I wanted to go out of the country, I could go and enjoy myself without worrying how I’d be able to pay for it all. Finally, I want to be financially stable in the future for myself and my family so they can live the lives they’ve always dreamed of.
