My Senior Goals by Deanna - August 2025 Scholarship Essay

As someone who had learning disabilities in the past and has worked hard to get into regular and AP classes, Senior year might be the time to slack off. However, I want to pursue more challenging courses than in my junior year. I have always been an ambitious person and have always shot higher than my previous goal, no matter how long it takes. Besides taking the required classes like English, precalculus, and AP US Government. I want to explore classes in AP psychology, AP 2D design, and IB Business Management to see what I'm most passionate about. My goals for school are to do the best I can academically and to have fun.
My goals for this year, outside of high school or applying to college, are to serve my community more, helping with my family’s business, and pushing past personal limits. Ways I would achieve my goals include tutoring younger students, organizing a fundraiser for cancer research, asking my family if they need help with their business, keeping the building clean, saying hi to strangers, or making new friends.
