Technology has been a foundational element in my life. Growing up with a father in the IT field meant technology was always a component of my home environment. Additionally, my school district has provided Chromebooks since I was in the third grade. This has given me a level of digital familiarity that has enhanced my classroom experiences. Using technology is how I learn, and really how I exist in academic environments.

My comfort level with technology is more than just with schoolwork. I use it in my personal life with social media and games in my spare time. So when the school introduces new devices, updated software, or educational platforms each year, my learning curve is short. I spend less time trying to figure things out, and more time engaging with the technology and getting things done. Technological transitions do not negatively impact my ability to learn. I have also enjoyed beginning to ethically and responsibly use AI technologies when allowed for my classwork. I get work done so much faster.

In conclusion, my lifelong learning and personal experiences have involved the use of technology. This has made my classroom experience better because it has decreased barriers to my learning, and has made me a more efficient learner.
