Number one way to positively impact my school by Bella - December 2025 Scholarship Essay

Hello, I'm Bella Granados and I am currently running for student body president. If I win for student body president I promise to listen to any concerts and suggestions. I also promise to help make this school a better place for everyone. One change I would like to make in order to positively impact the school would be by having more student well-being groups. Some ways and things I've been thinking of in order to make these groups would be by having relaxation spaces during exams knowing some people get nervous and can't focus in certain environments. I feel like this would help many students that tend to get anxious during exams. Not only would it help out the student anxiety but it could also lead to improved test results. Another thing I would like to add would be offering support by taking a quiz/enam. This would help the student well being as well as then just being able to perform better in school. Some things I've been thinking of would be adding a school pet to our school. It has been shown in research that animals tend to help kids mental health and well being. A school pet would be beneficial to those who tend to have rough days and also to those that don't think they need any help when in reality they do tend to need just a bit of help. Peer support programs would also be very helpful because it could help those who are having difficulty in a particular class and don't know how they can improve. Having someone tutor them in a class they've already taken and passed would be very helpful because you would be able to get a look on how things in that class work and some study methods that have been shown to actually help pass the class. This method to me and some other students has been talked about and has been thought deeply about and we'd like to give it a try. If it works we could make it into an official peer tutoring and give those peers community service and when needing a recommendation letter it could be added to that as well as a resume. It would be very beneficial to those who have volunteered to tutor and to students they have been having a rough time in a particular class. I hope you as a student and as well as a student would consider my campaign for running as student body president. I promise to do my best to make any positive impacts at my school. I also promise to always set a good example for everyone. I'm a hardworking student and I would really appreciate it if you would consider me for student body president.
