Aspirations for '26 by Allison - August 2025 Scholarship Essay
This school year I have many goals and aspirations that I have set for myself. As an incoming senior in highschooler, my main goal is to cultivate bonds with my classmates that will last a lifetime, work hard on my grades and college applications, set a stronger foundation in faith, and continue to work on my leadership skills through being caption of the varsity volleyball team and student leadership. I have a couple motivations for these goals. The first one being I always want to stive to make my parents proud. Through good grades and an abundance of community service, the past four years my parents have seen me grow into the hard working selfless person I have become now. I also want to leave an impact on my community when I graduate this year. I want people to see the standard of leadership and captainship that myself and my fellow seniors have set when we graduate. This is important because we want to leave the school better than when we entered as nervous freshman. As we enter the new school year, and as we move to graduate and leave the walls of our Catholic school where we have daily mass, monthly adoration and confession, and theology integrated into every aspect of our education, it is important to me that I stay true to my faith and continue to rely on Jesus to help me through my day to day. Since I plan on attending a public college, this will be even more crucial for me because not everyone is sharing the same faith as me, so I will have to make the choice to stand firm in what I believe and continue to do the things that Jesus wants me to do.
