My certifications include Elementary K-6, Special Education N-12, Mid-Level Mathematics 7-9 and ESL. Currently, I am employed as an Inclusion Special Education teacher in Pittsburgh Public School District working in math classrooms. I also coach middle school girls basketball.My specialty is working with struggling learners. I live in the Monroeville area and am available evenings and weekend.

I am a rather recent transport to Austin after living in the Dallas area for the past 13 years where I taught Kindergarten, First, and Third Grade in Plano ISD. Before Texas, I taught in Florida and Ohio. I am a native "Buckeye" with my roots being in Cleveland, Ohio. I have three amazing grown children scattered across the globe. I am a proud Mom of their accomplishments and desires to experience all life has to offer! I love my family, my dogs (Beau and Lily), hiking, yoga, good movies, books and keeping up with current global events. I currently teach Second Grade in the top ranked Eanes ISD. In my experience, I have found that the key to helping struggling math students is to build confidence and get to know the individuals needs and strengths academically. Tutoring is a job that I enjoy because I am a firm advocate of education. When I was growing up, my parents instilled in me the value of knowledge. They often said to me, "Knowledge is something that no one can ever take away from you. It is a gift that only continues to grow as long as you feed it." I am active on the New York Tri-State Area freelance circuit, having played with Orchestra 201, The Doctor's Orchestra Society, Manhattanville Community Orchestra, Utopia Opera, New York Session Symphony, Hellenic Music Foundation, and many more. I am a founding member of the New Westchester Symphony Orchestra. My teachers include Karen Froehlich, Peter Reit and Shelagh Abate.I love teaching because nothing gives me more joy than inspiring others to excel and helping others to not make the same mistakes I made. Music is a source of great joy to me, and the lessons you learn and the discipline you build by practicing a musical instrument carry over to the rest of your life.
