I graduated in Bachelor's in Financial Markets from University of Mumbai. I relocated to USA in 2016. Being a stay at home mom has given me the opportunity to be flexible in my schedule and pursue tutoring full time. I am passionate about finance and accounts subjects. Although English is my second language I have been particularly interested in reading and writing as well. My teaching style is heavily dependent upon the student and I believe in learning rather than cramming the coursework.

After graduating with a BA in English from the University of Dallas and a Master of Arts from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, I went on to teach classes of 6-11th grade students at Trivium Preparatory Academy for 3 years in English, Writing, and Math. I also tutored students individually for all sections of the SAT and ACT during my time there, and I have continued to do so for the past year with Varsity Tutors. I love teaching English and Literature because I have a passion for storytelling, and I enjoy teaching Math and Grammar because of their rational nature and the enjoyment that comes from solving logic puzzles. When I am not teaching, I enjoy going to the movies, spending time with my five younger brothers and sisters, and volunteering within MENSA. I believe that learning can always be made fun and is extremely rewarding when you put in the work. I look forward to sharing my love of all these subjects with you as a future student, and I look forward to meeting you!

Hi! My name is Julie. I love teaching; my primary experience is with high school and adult learners, though I have also taught middle school and have experience working with younger children. I have been an instructional coach in the areas of middle and high school ELA, history, and science, and I was an elementary literacy specialist two years running for a summer teacher training program at a large elementary school. I have also been a high school principal, and most recently, my full-time job has been to coach high school principals around the country. My diverse experiences have given me insight into a wide range of content areas and age groups, from kids to adult learners. I am an avid test-taker and find test prep to be fascinating and - yes - fun! I've taken the LSAT and GRE; my scores were good enough to get into some pretty great schools, along with some scholarship money. I believe everyone is capable of achieving their academic goals! In my free time, I love to rock climb, and I sing with a choir. I'm also a big travel buff.

As the first in my family to attend college, and then the only member to pursue graduate education, I know just how transformative my educational experiences have been. Such has encouraged me to enable the transformation of others via my mentoring, tutoring, and public speaking engagements.

I am a Masters level Therapist. I have undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice. My Master's degree is in Social Work. I have worked in the field for 20 years, holding various positions in my agency. Although I can tutor in many subjects, my strengths are greatest in statistics, Psychology and other Social Sciences. I enjoy these subjects and love to see the person I am helping love the field as much as I do. My goal is not just to get you to learn the subject matter, but to understand it. This eliminates having to memorize and recall for test taking.

I have my B.S. in Chemistry, Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, and my J.D. (law degree). I am a patent attorney, which keeps me current and well-versed in a number of subjects. I enjoy working with young people, and put an emphasis on making learning fun and effective. No one student is the same, so I work to figure out what works best for each student. Much of my teaching knowledge comes from my time spent as a teaching assistant in graduate school, coupled with my more recent participation in youth ministry where I taught a class and Boy Scouts, where I was an active member of my son's troop.

My main objective is to assist students who may need additional assistance with their studies, and to provide that extra support outside the classroom.

I worked in a preschool for 3 years during high school, highlighting competency in Reading, Math, Spanish, Science and History. I also worked in after school programs during high school, for students of all ages and was a tutor in college as well.I was an honors student all through grade school, obtained my BS in Health Science and am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in occupational therapy. So I have learned many fun and effective ways to teach students!In my free time I am into fitness, photography, playing with my two puppies and Zumba!

I love teaching and working with students and I take great satisfaction in watching their scores and confidence level increase as we continue to work together! I have tutored kids as part of a community outreach program. The children I've tutored have shown sharp improvements in their grades and understanding of substantive material. I find it incredibly rewarding.
