I am a graduate of Prairie View A&M University. I received my Bachelors of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a specialty in English and I am currently seeking to get my Master's in Education. Since graduation, I have worked in various classroom settings across the Houston and Spring Area. Through these opportunities, I have worked with students to enhance their knowledge and skills according to the state standards. In order to achieve this goal, I implemented many strategies such as small group instruction, one-on-one instruction, and engaging activities. I am very passionate about the process of reading and writing. I believe that today's youth struggle with comprehending what they read and being able to transfer that into coherent thoughts. My experience is that when this concept is introduced through familiar concepts, it is easier for the student to process. I find great pleasure in helping students tie those pieces together and become critical thinkers. I can't wait to join you on your journey!
