About Me

Training and mentoring the next generation of healthcare workers is what I am most passionate about. I have spent the last 10 years directly in the classroom teaching medical assisting, medical terminology, clinical skills, and certification preparation CCMA (NHA) with a 100% pass rate for many of my previous cohorts. My education and career path began as a medical assistant (MA), progressed to a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) then registered nurse (RN),and finally to my current role as a Career Technical Education (CTE) Instructor. With my nursing training from LAC-USC Medical Center, and my teaching experience with LAUSD-DACE (one of the largest school districts of adult and career education in the nation), I am excited to offer learners a unique perspective of medical assistant certification exam preparation. My plan follows a process of proven success with results that exceed the national average pass rate. My expertise includes guided utilization of the NHA online study materials, practice exams, and the test plans. My philosophy is simple: Teach and mentor the student to be the empathetic, passionate, competent healthcare worker that I would hope for myself or my loved one. Prepare them for success.
