I graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with two Master's of Education degrees. The first degree is in Literacy Studies, where I learned how to help strugglers and emergent bilinguals become better readers. My second degree is in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I have spent the last three decades helping people learn how to do various things--from water safety instruction and playing the piano--from phases of matter to Shakespeare! I am a well rounded scholar and I am a life-long learner. I hope to start a PhD in Literacy Studies in 2023.

I believe that every person CAN and WILL learn. I also believe that learning can be fun. This was a challenge during the pandemic, but my students and I succeeded in creating a collegial atmosphere of engaged learners.
