President, Riverside Chess Club Assistant Manager, Renaissance Knights Chess Foundation Chess Teacher, Chess Wizards
I teach beginner and intermediate chess to students of ages 5-105 with a structured syllabus that I tailor to your strengths and weaknesses. For online tutoring, I use Chess.com. Meetings start with a fun activity followed by a lesson on a specific topic, then we'll play a game and analyze it together afterwards. You can also send me other games to analyze during the lesson, or pick your own topics like how to play a certain opening. I encourage everyone to do puzzles daily, and look at the game review for your games.
"As a long time teacher, I have the ability to identify teaching skills. Sean is a very good teacher. I had watched an online chess course and it was way over my head so I thought chess wasn't for me. But within 10 minutes Sean dispelled all that, made learning fun, AND taught me more in an hour than I learned during HOURS of online classes. Highly recommend Sean!" Miles Coleman
