I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a B.A. in International Affairs and minors in Spanish and Sociology. During my undergrad, I spent a year studying abroad in Spain, where I lived with a Spanish host family and took all of my courses in Spanish at the local university. More recently, I have completed a Certificate in Spanish Translation and Interpretation from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. In this program, I received training on medical, legal, commercial, and technological translation and interpretation. As a 2nd language learner of Spanish myself, I have personally experienced many of the common challenges that English speakers face when learning Spanish. Because of this, I am excited to share with students not only my love for the langauge, but also all of the tips and strategies that helped me learn difficult concepts. I tutor the courses Spanish 1-4 as well as professional tutoring for the CCHI Medical Interpreting exam. I like to tailor my tutoring sessions to each student and their individual needs and learning styles.

In my free time, I like playing board and card games, as well as doing puzzles. I have two cats who I love spending time with, although they do make it more difficult to successfully complete puzzles! I live in Arizona and, when weather permits, I love hiking and camping.
