I am a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor's Degree in both Special Education and Regular Elementary Education. I received my Master's in Special Education from the California University of Pennsylvania. I have 23 years experience as a Special Education Teacher. I have taught from the preschool level up through sixth grade. I currently and have for the last five years been a developmental evaluator where I evaluate children ages 3-5 to determine if they qualify for developmental services. The mission in my everyday work is "to provide a collective support system to enhance educational opportunities for my community and the students we serve". I am a strong believer in this statement and I strive to make sure that no child is left behind and that the families are supported as well to build a strong foundation of communication and a cohesive relationship among the child, their family, and the educator.
