Hi! I'm Kaitlyn. I graduated from Boston University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, and I am currently enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Medical School where I am an MD candidate in the class of 2026. One of my main reasons for pursuing a career in medicine is that I love working with people one-on-one to help them discover ways that they can reach their own personal goals - and tutoring is another great way to do that! I have been tutoring for about six years, working with students ranging from elementary school to college in various STEM subjects. I also worked as a physics TA while I was in undergrad. My passion for tutoring stems from the unique tutor-student relationships that develop as we work together towards personalized goals - every student is different, and I have as much to learn from them as they do from me.
As a tutor, my responsibility is to listen empathetically and help my students develop or maintain confidence in the subject we are working on. I make sure to take an individualized approach and guide my students toward specific strategies that will be sustainable for them. I firmly believe that every student is capable and it's such a joy to watch them become confident in that as well.
