I am currently a freshman at Rice University pursuing a degree in Biosciences and Business on a Pre-Med track. My tutoring background began in middle school when I started my own after-school volunteer tutoring program to help my peers in my grade and grades below who felt like they needed extra help to stay on track. Since then I have worked to tutor students in a variety of subjects through the National Honor Society programs at my high school. I am most passionate about teaching high school-level science and math since I feel like I most excelled in these classes when I took them in high school, and feel like I rely on these topics heavily in the college-level versions of these classes I am currently taking. However, I would love to work with all middle and high school students in a broad array of subjects as well as SAT test prep. In high school, I was an avid participant in Speech and Debate and was ranked as one of the top debaters in the nation. Currently, I am an analyst for the Rice Undergraduate investment fund, an undergraduate researcher at a gene-editing lab, and a participant in the RICE Emergency Medical Services program.
