I am an undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh, going for a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience, with a minor in Chemistry, and a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. I am also on the Physician Assistant track.
Since freshman year of high school, I have put forth many hours tutoring students of all ages, ranging in many subjects. My personal favorite subject to tutor in is Algebra, but I have tutored in math ranging from elementary school level to high school level. I have also tutored in the sciences and Spanish. Although I started learning Spanish in middle school, I spent half of high school in college-level Spanish courses and obtained my Seal of Biliteracy.
For me, there are two feelings when tutoring that go unbeaten:
1. When your student finally grasps a concept they have been struggling with.
2. When your student comes back with their first improved test grade.
I try to accommodate to the needs of all my students and revolve tutoring around each student's personal goals. Whether it's getting a better understanding of one concept, getting class grade up, or preparing for an exam, I do my best to do what's best for the student.
