About Me

I have been a nurse for 25 years, focusing on Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatrics & Women's Health. I went to Bronson School of Nursing in Kalamazoo, Michigan and then went on to earn both my BSN and my MSN. I have taught students in CNA, LPN, ADN, BSN & MSN programs and ran a distance nursing program in Arizona. I am currently the RN Curriculum Liaison for a local College. Taking care of babies has certainly been my passion while being a bedside nurse. I enjoyed being a Newborn Transport Nurse for several years, which allowed me to expand my skills and grow significantly as a nurse. I am passionate about helping students master course content and prepare for NCLEX. When teaching students, I focus on the retention of general knowledge and then provide opportunities to apply that information and use clinical judgement. This could be in the form of clinical situations, case studies, or sample test questions. I have taught and tutored students in Fundamentals, Maternal Newborn, Pediatrics and Math/Med calculations. I look forward to working with you and helping you grow and develop your thinking to transition from thinking like a student to thinking like a nurse!
